I just downloaded Contacts 4.1, and I have a question for you.
Am I the only one who feels that the most important feature of a contacts program is the ability to *QUICKLY* look up a contact's phone number and info?
Let me explain....
There is a small da out, which has been out for at least two years, called Call Lookup DA.
Launch CallLookupDA, enter three, or at most four letters, tap "search", and literally within one, or at most two seconds, every contact which has those three or four letters in their name (first name, last name, company name, it doesn't matter, and CallLookupDA doesn't force users to specify) appears! Generally, there is only one or two contacts which match, making finding the number you need quick and easy.
Now, with Contacts 4.1, which, by the way is very elegant program, I tap the first letter of the contacts name... program searches... tap the second letter ... program again searches... tap the third letter... again, a delay as the program searches....
Why should a 700+ K program take three times as long for me to find my contact as a 20k da that's been out for two or three years?
I (personally) don't want to wait while a program sorts my contacts by last name, first name, company (hey, sometimes I'm looking for a company's name, sometimes I'm searching for a person's first name, sometimes their last name).
I want to be able to enter a few letters, and have ALL THREE fields (last name, first name, company name) searched, WITHOUT having to specify.
Sorry this post is so long.
So long.....

It does all of that, play with the settings...the fourth from last button at the bottom activates it.
