I am still trying to find a way to filter my email into separate groups or folders on my Clie. The options are all there to set it up, but it just doesn't work.
I subscribe to several yahoo groups and have them set for individual emails to my home account (which is Outlook Express). It would be so nice to have them filter into their own categories after a hotsync...then I could sort by date. It would make reading them easier since they would be in sequence and in their group.
I wouldn't have to change any settings in OE, would I? The only place where the email is hotsynced to my Clie is from the Inbox in OE.
Any help is appreciated.

I have heard snappermail works best for more than 1 account.

that is what I have heard. Snappermail is supposed to be the best at handling multiple email accounts. It looks like a nice app, but I have stayed away from it so far because it isn't hires+.

I'm about to try it out soon. Cliemail seems kind of limited and I'm expanding my horizons. I'll get back and talk about features later.

I tried using the filter function in Clie Mail, but it didn't work. Then I figured that it probably only works when downloading mail directly from a server, not the mail that is downloaded during a Hotsync.
Does Snapper Mail have a Hotsync conduit yet? I have been waiting for that to be released before I try the app.

Well, maybe that is my problem. I download email from a hotsync. I looked on their site, and they do not have the hotsync conduit yet. But, it is in the works. I also read about their application, but saw no mention of filtering. And, since I don't have a WiFi card, I will just have to keep looking.

Probably too late to help, but make sure you have clicked on the checkbox next to the filter and that you have clicked on the hammer and tool icon, and then 'enabled filters'.
you have to go 2 places to set it... grrrr.
I'm still having trouble getting the filters to work with subjects.

Snapper's latest release added the ability to sort incoming mail into multiple inboxes, but as far as I can tell it can't filter mail by any other criteria except to separate your accounts. I also don't think there's a hotsync conduit yet.
I don't use e-mail on my Clie except in emergencies, so I haven't really been bothered by these things, but now that you guys mention it, it would be nice. And hi-res+ would definitely be helpful. You'd think for a $40 app they should have done that a year ago.

I agree, these email apps are woefully under utilized. Need more features. I think ClieMail and Iambic are the only two that are HiRes+. The developers want a lot of money fo so little!:(
