I think that AlphaSmart should release a pocket version of the Dana called the Pal --- Offer similar features to the Sony TH55 and continue where sony left off. That way we can all enjoy our AlphaSmart Pocket Pals!!

No, that would be a UX50 without colour, without wireless, without os 5, without multimedia; on the other hand, it would be without the toothpick stylus, and it would be without the MS slot. I think it is in Alpha's best interest to stay an obscure educational palm OEM.

We had the Alphasmart 3000 (not Dana) in my school and it was ok, but printing directly from the device was a nightmare because there was all this obscure formatting with tabs and stuff

whats the dirreance beteween the 3000 and the normal?

The 3K is a basic word processor, with some extra software available, IR and ports to connect to a printer (very basic, like a calculator) The dana has PalmOS and USB ports and SD slots and wireless
