Does anyone know of an Instant Message Program that will work with the NX70 to connect wirelessly with the WL100. AOL screwed me out of 20 bucks and they said I can't connect wirelessly, only through a wired modem through AOL.

You could actually use an AIM version 1.1, not the 2.0 version. Its works like a charm for me, and best of all its free!! Just search on the internet for AIM 1.1, and you should find it easy!!!

I was using AOL Instant Messanger program I got from UK which worked just fine...until recently. I'm sure something else I loaded conflicted because every time I started the program lately, whether WiFi was connected or not I had to do a HARD reset! You can believe I uninstalled after that happening a few times (what took me so long??) I hope to get brave again because it was handy having it...but left me with a bad feeling.....

Here you go! Works like a charm!

There is also VeriChat, but I don't know anything about it, but I do know it's not free.
Enjoy!

I use both, but I like Verichat because of two HUGE reasons:
1) Better support of the keyboard (pressing Enter sends the current message, so put away that stylus!)
2) Sending a message erases what was written previously. Sounds obvious, right? Well, with AIM for Palm, you have to MANUALLY erase your previous message from the 'Send' field every single time. That means even more dependence on a stylus (and frequent accidental re-sending of the same message). STUPID.
AIM for Palm works, but try and use Verichat if you can!

I like Verichat for the same reasons, and because it supports 3-services at once(AIM, MSN, Yahoo). I do wish it had those funny/sad face icons though.

the AIM 1.1 works great, Thanks for the link. I love products that work with no bs. as much as AOL sucks, unfortunately that is what everyone that I know uses..

I have the AOL $20 program that lets you read mail and chat. It works fine for me on my NX with either my WiFi card or a using a cable to my Sprint PCS phone. You can sychronize your mail to your handheld and your IM messages do erase after you send them. Unfortunately, the other features (weather, news, etc.) use web clipping and so do not work on the NX. I didn't like having to pay $20; but then again Verichat is not free either.

I installed AIM 1.1 and had to do 3 soft resets. Fortunately I read this forum first and backed up, and on data was lost.
I've swapped to trying Verichat, looks good but not free. It does AIM, Yahoo and MSN. Almost gives me a reason to buy the bluetooth MS so I can IM during my meetings...

Does anyone know if the $20 AOL w/ mail program works w/ a proxy server? I can't use any of these programs because they don't support proxy. Thanks.
