Keep getting message: HotSync operation was interrupted. Some of your data NOT backed up. I have deleted and reloaded DeskTop, the HotSync Manager Update and deleted a couple of problem applications. What to do next? Any ideas?

Have you tried doing either a soft or hard reset? I had this problem a while ago, but I was never sure what actually ended up fixing the problem.

Did both a soft reset and a system reset. Will check tonight if this worked. (My computer at home has all my backed up software). Also, have backed up to a SD Card and BackUpMan (cannot be too safe). Hopefully, this did the trick. If not, I guess I will bite the bullet and do a hard reset.

I had a similar problem and message on my T E (“Connection between … bla,bla … was interrupted … bla, bla), and I had to erase all Palm software on a desktop plus hard reset of Palm (by the way Palm didn’t want to hard reset on usual way, button off + reset, I had to left it to drain a battery).
Later on I noticed that the problem can be on both; desktop with Windows XP SP1 and on a Palm TE when I was using some suspicious software found on the Internet ;-(
So, my solution (holding good last few weeks) is to use smaller number of applications, better installed from CD than downloaded from net.
And I checked option in HotSync setup: “Available only when the Palm Desktop is running”.
Run Palm Desktop, and do the HotSync. Close Palm desktop after that.
Also, it’s better to do HotSync immediately after computer start (or restart it before HotSync).
If you use this procedure maybe it’ll work better (at least, it was in my case).
Acrobat Reader for palm can also produce bad converted PDF files for Palm, and in that case HotSync will not work.
Try to follow signs on Palm and if HotSync fails when data from Palm is backing up, than probably you have corrupted file(s) on a Palm. Than you should uninstall one by one trying to HotSync after each uninstall. (I erased them all, it was faster and easier).
By the way, question for people from USA, is there any living person in a Palm support center? It’s really too expensive to call for advice from Serbia & Montenegro (ex-Yugoslavia) and I think that e-mail is a joke.
