I am getting an error code 8009 when I try to sync this clie for the first time. This is what I see in the log:

"HotSync operation started 03/01/03 17:18:33
HotSync Error:
An application failed to respond to a
HotSync notification. Please check the Palm Desktop for details. (8009)
HotSync operation complete 03/01/03 17:18:33"

Can anyone tell me whta this means?

have you pushed the reset button in the back. I bought mine "Open Box" and had trouble with it until I reset it.

I am having the same problem, I am about to uninstall EVERYTHING and reinstall. Anybody got any ideas??

Do not waste your time. My unit is a new, but refurbished unit, and I have uninstalled and installed as well as performed several hard resets to try to get this thing to sync to anything, and it simply generates that same error message. I am thinking about returning it as I have wasted too much time already!

Was getting "An application failed to respond on your pc" as well.
I was syncing to outlook. removed programs, then reloaded
without the intelsync conduit. instead used chapura pocket mirror, so far no problems, with using outlook.

I have bought one off of EBAY and now find myself in the same boat as you were 10 days ago...
I'm pulling out hairs as well!!!
