I love my Treo and am pretty happy with it, however one cannot close their eyes to its shortcomings.

I have my T600 for like a month or two and have noticed a lot of things that should have been included. But was surprise that it even lacks little simple stuff.

EI. Why doesn't the Treo have some sort of icon displayed when you put the phone on silent. I mean that is so simple. If you put your phone on silent and forget about it, one look at the screen will not tell you that it's on silent.

I mean there are many more shortcoming but i think that this is by far the most unnecessary one.

What other shortcomings do you see? I am considering a 610 if and when it is available.

Not sure if this app does what you want, but I'd check it out to see.

If not, the author seems very responsive and open to suggestions.

Thanks Rolando, but I've tried Treo Butler and it cased soft resets on my Treo.
Not sure if it was because it was a demo. Also, I really didn't see much use to it although many posts says other wise and claim that it's a must for Treo 600. Personally I don't really need my phone off at a ceratin time and my LED signal doesn't bother me.
I will email the creater though and suggest for him to put a vibrator on indicator...then I would buy it :-)

Well I would hold my breath waiting on the 610. It just won't happen any time soon accroding to the rumors.
For one, not much people will buy it since the treo 600 sold so well and are basically brand new. The most the will accomplish is having people who own Treo600 purchase the upgrade which will totally make no sense.

Perhaps some people got their Treo600 cheap with a plan, but for those that don't live in the US, the Treo cost about $700!
There's no ways that after I spent all that money on a phone I'm going to just give it to someone and buy the 610. Even if you try to sell it, you can't sell it for as much.

Don't get me wrong, the T600 is a great phone.
However, I believe that since this is not the "first" PDA phone, much more could have been taking into concideration. How can you not out a Vibrate on indicator?! I mean that is just common sense. Plus, it doesn't have voice dilaing...which most phones have now our days.

Another thing which I trully miss from my T68i, is the ability of assigning different ringtones/pics for every person on my contact list. The T600 only has 50 favorite slots.
If I assign a ringtone to someone in my contacts, every number in that contact (such as mobile, home, office) will have that ringtone. That was perfect, whereas in the T600, you have to assign each number a ringtone eventhough it belongs to the same contact.

Of course there's a lot the Treo can do that my T68i couldn't, however I think that such things that I mentione above should be standard and shouldn't take much.

I hope you understand what I mean.
It's a great phone, just seems like the people who created it scratched their head for too long.
