Anyone have issues with skyscape apps freezing while loading (which requires a hard reset)?
For instance, I have a t655 and i run the apps off the memory stick with pidirect ii.. After starting it up, it starts to load (the memory stick flashes), then I get a blank screen with nothing on the display. Weird...
Sometime this is fixed by me copying everything off the memory stick, formating the MS and then recopying.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Have you tried installing the product right to the memory stick? I did that with my NR70. No need to use Pidirect anymore and it works fine.
Pidirect was good for awhile but it seems to have been suffering from a lack of support since more and more people are using OS4 and up. Sure was nice on my old Visor line, though.
You shouldn't need to use Pidirect to access many programs off of the memory stick with the 665. Most of my medical programs run fine without it from the MS.

Also the file artwork.prc that was installed may also cause problems. you don't need that file and you can delete.

I wouldn't use PI direct to load. This has happened to me once or twice. I never did fiqure out what the cause was. Program starts to load, then freezes. Kind of wierd. I think it's like when Windows occasionally freezes. If it does it every time, try getting rid of PI direct.

I agree, just reinstall the Skyscape programs with the .prc file in RAM and the .pdb files on the MS. Works fine and is fairly quick to load. I don't use PiDirect for any of the Skyscape titles. I did load it and will try a few other apps (Mnemonics, Harrison's) that don't support VFS.

I also have directly synced Skyscape programs to my stick with no problems. I've never used PI but do use Filez to move things about if I need more room in ram.
