Ok, I am finally wireless with my Clie SJ30 through a Sony Ericsson T68i using IR. In the end it is great and I am happy with it. In the future I plan to upgrade to a BT MS.
The thing I don't understand is why BT and IR connectivity is not more mainstream in the U.S. It sounds like it is much more so in Japan. It basically took me 1-2 months of occasional research on this forum to understand the technology and to know it was feasible. If when I had bought the Clie it had some language in the owners manual about the BT or IR through cell phone capability I would have saved myself some time wondering. Sony also barely, if at all, mentions it on the Clie website.
It really gets back to the issue of why the heck does Sony not offer the BT MS in the U.S.? I do not understand why we are all forced to order from Japan, Europe, or eBay to get something Sony crancks out in some factory in Taiwan anyway. They could just add the item to their website and begin selling worldwide.
Well, I guess I have rambled enough about this but it just really puzzles me. Anyone else feel this way?
