Ok, I am finally wireless with my Clie SJ30 through a Sony Ericsson T68i using IR. In the end it is great and I am happy with it. In the future I plan to upgrade to a BT MS.

The thing I don't understand is why BT and IR connectivity is not more mainstream in the U.S. It sounds like it is much more so in Japan. It basically took me 1-2 months of occasional research on this forum to understand the technology and to know it was feasible. If when I had bought the Clie it had some language in the owners manual about the BT or IR through cell phone capability I would have saved myself some time wondering. Sony also barely, if at all, mentions it on the Clie website.

It really gets back to the issue of why the heck does Sony not offer the BT MS in the U.S.? I do not understand why we are all forced to order from Japan, Europe, or eBay to get something Sony crancks out in some factory in Taiwan anyway. They could just add the item to their website and begin selling worldwide.

Well, I guess I have rambled enough about this but it just really puzzles me. Anyone else feel this way?

Hi,

I've also just recently went wireless with my T665c. I did some research and bought a Bluetooth MS from www.expansys.us which functions nicely with T86i. I'm curious which web browser you're using. I've tried a few but so far I'm not impressed. I'm also trying to find a ssh2 client to allow UNIX command line login but no luck yet.

On a T86i related note, have you tried Sony software that allows one to download user created backgrounds? At this point I can't get this software to see my phone. Check it out if your curious at http://www.sonyericsson.com/downloads/ImageEditor1.2.0.7.exe?traceClick=yes

Regards,

Rich

I am using the Xiino browser. I have only been using for about a week but so far it seems functional.

Unfortunately I can not offer assistance on a ssh2 client. I will take a look at the image software.
