A warning if you're like me and you moved some things into the "Sony Handheld" Start menu folder ... The 4.1 Upgrade DELETES IT (rather than doing a smart uninstall which would notice that there were things in the folder that the install hadn't put there).

Not life threatening put annoying and sloppy.

AHHHHRRRRRRGGGG!

Of course, I read this AFTER I installed and found my Add-on Folder was deleted! This isn't a "new" folder, though what was IN it had some new things. All my downloaded Palm programs were in there, including all the pocket movies, books, games, etc. Nothing irreplaceable, but *very* annoying!

What a lame way to do things!

What version Palm desktop are you running? The Palm v4.1 upgrade has some enhanced features, such as being able to HotSync multiple clies. There are additonal Themes, limited Icon customization, and some other enhanced tools.

indeed seems they made the file unavailable, either that or just tried on the wrong time..

anyone willing to share that upgrade :)

I originally installed the one directly from Palmsource over top of v4.01. As always, make a backup copy of the Sony Handheld folder.

I loaded 4.2, as I need to sync 2 T415's, and my NX-60, and wasn't working under 4.1x, but 4.2 cleared it up. Graphics are also improved under 4.2.

Any reason this upgrade wouldn't work for an NR70? I had been using the 4.1 Palm Desktop with a Palm 505 and it's definitely got a few nice touches over 4.0.1. Any NR users tried this yet? I don't use Palm Desktop all that often as I'm sync'ing with Lookout! (er, Outlook) via DesktopToGo so it's not that much of a biggie.

Palm v4.1 desktop worked good with the NR70. You only needed to make sure that the Sony desktopv4.01 had been installed first.
