I was trying to get photos into my T3 with a synch, and realized I was trying to place too many large files into too small a memory. These were 1.5 meg JPEG files and there were 20+ images. So, I clicked "Cancel" on the HotSync dialog box before even one image had passed rom computer to T3. I got the message "This might take one minute..."

Then I waited about five minutes and knew this puppy was running in circles. Nothing had changed-the process was still "cancelling". So I hit Ctrl->Alt->Del and stopped the process altogether.

Then I cleared out the large images from the quick install box, substituting downsampled images.

I'm writing for help because now everytime I try to sync, the software picks up where it was "cancelled" and tries to download that first large image again, based on the file name that shows up in the progress box. I have restarted the computer several times, and I am hesitant to do a reset on the Palm because there are a bunch of changes I made to other programs' content since my last sync and that would be lost.

I have tried to synch several times, and each time it starts with that now nonexistant large image file, even if it is not in the install interface.

Anyone have any ideas?

Jonathan

Try to run synch, press cancel on the T3 & then hit the reset button in the back....

Are you backed up?

If so, you could just do a hard reset & restore...

Good luck,

I am not fully backed up because I was on the airplane making changes, and although I brought my cradle I hadn't run a synch until this problem sync. I also do not yet have BackUpBuddy. Proves that BackUpBuddy is a good idea!

The last try started in the same way so I cancelled and just waited for 30-45 minutes for the sync to stop. That's how long it took! I ended up with several copies of the image on my Palm and the expansion card.

I will post a separate question about the best way to process images before placing them in install queue.
