I'm brand new to Palms, and I'm not sure where to start...
I've got a couple huge .txt files that I'd like to have available on my Tungsten E. What is a good way to format these files, and in turn read them? Where can I go to learn more on how to do this?
Thanks for your help.

Hi, .txt files, you can handle these a couple of ways, but if you open the .txt file with word and save as a word file, you can then use docstogo [software on the palm install cd] to view it, or you can get docs2go to convert it for you.
or you can use an app that used to be available a while back that converted a word file to a doc file on the click of a button, but as Docs2Go now does that, I only use it on my pc because it's already there... I think the original converter was word2doc or something similar, but docs2go would be your best place to start.

RepliGo can convert ANY printable document. http://www.cerience.com/
The new version of TealDoc can read and edit native txt files. "..full support for docs and plain text files stored on external VFS-compatible media cards such as SD/MMC, compact flash, and Memory Stick". See http://tealpoint.com/softdoc.htm for more info.

Hey,
Don't spend any money.
If you have a card use VFSi which can edit text files directly on the card get it at http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-PaloAlto/7022/vfsi-latest.zip .
If you don't have a card or do have one I recommend using isilox to convert the .txt file into isilo format and use the free version of isilo to read the text you can get the converter at http://www.isilox.com/download/index.htm and the reader at http://www.isilo.com/download/iSiloPalmOS.htm . If you need additional help let me know. You don't need to buy anything to accomplish things on your palm. There is always a free way to do it.

Just to add to your options....
If you just want to read the txt files, then you only need to convert to palmdoc format, and use a reader like Palm Reader, TiBR, mobipocket etc to view it.
There a lots of free choices available for doing this. http://www.freewarepalm.com/ is a good place to visit.
TiBR (at http://www.indevsoftware.com/products/tibr/ ) is free, quite good and has a txt to palmdoc (pdb) convertor for windows.
