Document sync

I have a question about sync and documents.

I sync to my desktop AND my laptop.

I get a message after syncing that the file name exists on the hard drive already, and renames the file.

Is there a setting I should make?

What program are you using to sync and what kind of files give you the messages you're getting?

Using the palm sync button. The document is a word document. I am using documents to go.

Open DocumentsToGo on your desktop and go to Tools->Preferences. There should be a tab called Hotsync Action, click on that and make sure Synchronize is selected instead of Desktop Overwrites Handheld. Other than that, I'm not sure what might be causing it. You should ask Dataviz tech support too since they made the prog.
