There are two solutions of which I am aware: CardExport (www.softick.com) and SyncWizard (www.envicon.com).

CardExport makes your memory card appear as a drive under Windows. A new version (2.00) in beta is much improved over the current version (1.14) in that it requires no additional software at all on the PC -- it uses the USB drive protocol to mount the Palm / card on your Windows PC.

SyncWizard does not make the card appear as a Windows drive but provides an explorer-like window to access anything on your Palm (via drag and drop). The advantage of SyncWizard is that you can also manipulate files in your Palm's RAM, not just on the external card.

Card Export is good for me too. Wish it would work for Mac though.

I can recommend The Missing Sync for Palm OS to provide this functionality. It also enables AvantGo to work again with OS X. Plus a license for AeroPlayer or Mark/Space Sketch, and a license for the Palm version of SplashPhoto.

I personally prefer Syncwizard. A very much more comprehensive as well as well featured menus for the purpose of viewing the card. It's got IR as well as BT support which is the coooolest ;)
