Hello,

Lately my palm does not seem to switch off when it is on the cradle. The same apples when the palm is plugged on Power to Go battery attachment.

Of course, I suspect that it might be an application stopping it but as I have not hard reset my palm yet, are you aware of any apps/reaons that may cause this behaviour?

I forgot to mention that my palm is a Tungsten T3.

Thanks.

Try going into the Preferences/Power panel and set Stay on in Cradle to Off.

Thank you for your suggestion, but actually the "Stay on in Cradle" is set to Off and the "Auto-off after" is set to 1 min.

I have also tried using all the time settings (30 sec, 2 min, 3 min). I.e. even though the settings are correct the palm does not turn off when plugged onto the cradle or the Power to Go battery attachment. Last but not least, I have also tried soft resetting the palm but this did not make any difference.

Just to check, do you mean it fails to switch off automatically or even when you press the power button?

CWolf - It just fails to switch off automatically (and that is only when it connected to the cradle or Power to Go) Works fine when I press the power button.

Well, that's no big problem. I am usually happy that my T3 doesn't switch on as I have a clock running on it...

Hi CWolf,

It can be, as the palm does not switch off when in the Power to Go battery attachment as if I forget to power it off manually it will discharge the Power to Go battery...

Anyway, I believe the safe way is to hard reset it and then restore the files one by one untill the problem replicates.

Thanks.
