Hi ,

I have managed to modify T610 driver so that it works with T630. Please email me if you want the driver.

just curious, what's the diff between the t610 driver and the t630 driver. i could use the t610 driver with both phones without any hiccups or any problem. i think people need the z600 driver badly instead of the t630 driver.

anyway, thanks.

Don't you get an error when you test the connection if you use the T610 driver?

If somebody could help me, I can try to mod for z600. Since I don't own a z600, i can't get the device number.

Just out of curiosity, is the only change to this driver the name, thereby made to stop the Phone preference pane's "Test" function from complaining? Or are there actual different init strings and such?

I change only the device description and the device number that is detected during bluetooth connection. I believe the connection strings should be the same since it is quite standard across all serial port implementations.

Furthermore, the connection string setting can be change on the handheld itself.

maybe just my stupidity, i never use the "test" in the connection, LOL, since all my apps well function (sms, dialer) with both of the phones. and i don't dare to try the "test", just in case it will ruin my existing connection set up.

If the only difference is the device description and the device number, I don't see the value. Can someone please explain?

I just posted this to save people the trouble of modifying and have to test it themselves. Anyway, I am not charging anything for it.

The value depends of whoever that needs it.

I must admit...T630 camera is a big letdown..

Hm guys..
wanna ask this..

T630 can be paired with one device only or multiple?

Coz I cant seems to get it work with my BT headset and T3 (3 together)

When I dial from my T3, I 'have' to talk tru the phone ..and not with my BT headset..Why?
Is it due to the driver? Btw..I dun have the T630 driver in my T3. So I havent test it out yet..

beyond,

You need to pair your T3 with your BT headset.
You need to pair your T3 with your mobile phone
You need to pair your T630 with your BT head set.
No need to pait T3 with BT head set since T3 has no "voice" support.

Dialing from the T3 actually sends the dialing signal from the T3 to your T630. You'll notice a "dialing .... connecting .... disconnected" on your T3.

As soon as you see the "disconnected" msg on the T3, this means that the T3 is done sending the dialing command to the T630 and disconnects the BT link.

Now you need to activate the BT link between the T630 and the BT headset. Assuming you use a SonyEricsson HBH headset. pressing the button on the headset will transfer the call from your T630 speaker to the BT headset.

Or, alternatiely ....

You can set the T630 to receive all calls to thru thr BT headset.

Go to
<menu> ...
<connect> ...
<bluetooth> ...
<option> ...
<headset sound> ...

Then

select <in headset>.

Now all calls made and received will be thru the headset.

Good luck trying.

beyond,

I am not going for KVPUG (http://www.kvpug.org) meet this time around. Palmx.org (http://www.palmx.org) is having a joint meet with i-symbian.com (http://www.i-symbian.com) at the same date and at the same time as KVPUG beamfest. I'll be at Palmx BTM.

I downloaded the t610 driver from Palm and it works flawlessly with my T630.
I will be getting the K700 in a few months so I hope that works as well.
