From PalmSource (http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/docs/palmos50/os52overview.html)
Palm OS 5.2 is mainly a bug fix release. In addition, it contains a small set of new features and modifications, most notably a new handwriting recognition engine called Graffiti 2. The Graffiti 2 engine is based on the well-known Jot product from Communications Intelligence Corporation (CIC). Furthermore, as part of this release to licensees, we have defined a platform collapsible input area API for all licensees to use.

Very interesting, I think the Graffiti 2 has some problems... for example the K letter.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see if Sony offers an update.

I would love the update. I use jot and the letter "k" works fine. Just like the "x". It takes 2 strokes | <, and boo yah, you get a "k". I use os 5 and the updated jot came out a week or so ago and is a lot speedier... or maybe its the real proccessor in the NX.

You are right, it's only a convination of my unexpert stroke and the use of the mouse...

I tried it for a while and switched the letter k to match how you do it with the palm now, it hardly worked the other way, when I did that, the Caps would not use the original stroke, I must've missed a setting somewhere. I really didn't like it, I am used to the original way, guess if I got used to writing normal again it would be fine.

Not sure about OS5.2 but stopped into CompUSA to purchase the NX60 and they only had NX70V in stock. A quick check by the rep and he indicated no new inventory until late Feb due to Sony changing production for all new devices to be OS5.1.

Based on earlier reports that Palm Partners had OS5.1 since September and OS5.2 since December makes one wonder will Sony just keep contol of production and release updated devices until OS6 arrives and introduce a new one with a faster processor and hotter features?
