Does anyone know how to keep the find function from searching Kinoma Player. Every time I do a find it hangs on Kinoma requiring a soft reset. I have tried Intelligentfind and I am able to shut it off through there, Kinoma crashes this program also. I do not want to have to pay for a program because the built in always did just fine for me.
Any ideas.

Strange, I'm running a T3 with Kinoma and Intelligent find(IF) and it does not crash, even if I set IF only to search Kinoma, or search everything??.
IF is version 2.6.7 and Kinoma is 2.2, as well the builtin find function does not crash either...

matrix42,
I am running the same setup as you. After reading your post I decided to take out my SD card. All of my Kinoma movies are on the card. I ran find again and it worked with no problem. Reinserted the card and ran find again and again it crashed. Has to be something with the movies themselves but I can't understand what it could be. Will be tinkering for a while.

Very weird, as all my movie clips are on my card as well, and my tests above were with the card in. Perhaps there is another db on the card (not kinoma) that is buggering up the find?

Okay I tried removing my Kinoma movies from the Palm one by one and freeze, lockup, crash, freeze. Now I have no movies on the card and it still freezes when the card is in. When I remove the card everything is fine. I am at a total loss.
I have installed Crash to see if it would log what was causing the crash but it doesn't because it is not really a crash but a freeze.

Do you have Documents To Go installed? If so, go to it's preferences and uncheck Include in global find.
That worked for me.

Same problem here. Kinoma 2.2.2. I have no idea how to fix it.

Hmmm, only problem I get with Kinoma is that it tends to freeze completely when I use the fast forward slider...

It seems to have something to do with my SD card.I have removed everything Kinoma except for the Rom version and it still crashes the find. Again when I remove the card it works fine. I put another SD card in and it works fine. When I put the original card in it crashes.
I only have four days left on my Intelligentfind demo. I really don't want to pay for something I don't need I just want my Find function to work again.
I have been thinking of formatting the card and starting from scratch but I really don't want to do that.

Well I had some time to do some trouble shooting. After some trial and error removing things from my card and testing the find function, I found a troublesome database file that was causing all of the problems. I don't even know what the file was but I don't seem to be missing it. Best of all the find works great now.

Formating SD card fixed the problem.

I thing that you are pretty smart, haha (take this like funny way) i mean that sd card formatting thing, for example if someone has find problem and it have like 500mb sd memory card and full of videos, music, pictures and other stuff, so are really meaning that, that person will format that sd card and install ALL that stuff again ?
If you ask me to format i will pass that option...

The thing is that I have all my stuff from SD on my PC and there was no problem with find function after coping it back on SD cart. I'm sure that there was something wrong with file system of my card, I had problems with coping, moving, delating files. Now everything works ok.
