Anyone here have experience (as end user - not a pro) building FileMaker apps for Palm that sync between PC and handheld?

I have posted elsewhere on PalmOneCity about my desire to have a gradebook and logger (checkboxes, etc.) for my teaching. FileMaker advertises a Palm add-on. I have experience with FileMaker up to v4 on both PC and Mac. I would be able to build something if the sync is clean and the Palm version supports useful PC-based FileMaker interface tools, like checkboxes.

Easy Grade Pro (Orbis Software) (http://www.easygradepro.com/)may just be easier - even at approx $80 for both platforms and sync. I don't have time to become a programmer... but it's an appealing thought that I could make any little app I need if I upgrade my existing v4 FileMaker with the new (v7) FileMaker. A palm version ("Mobile FileMaker") is due out a little later this year, but they have a first-effort Palm interface out now.

A search for existing FileMaker apps offered as gradebooks or teacher administration did not turn up any small developers offering what I need. Suggestions welcome about such developers.

Hey, LanMan, what do you think? I know you are a teacher. The main issue for my situation seems to be: most Palm education apps are focused on secondary and above teachers.
