Hi all!

I use Categories in my Palm Calendar to organize my appointments - and those categories sync with Outlook. But in Outlook, there's another field in an appointment called, "Label" which looks like the same items listed in Categories, but with each with its own color (see picture).

And when you select a label in Outlook, the item gets that color in the Calendar view.

Well, my Palm appointments have color (dots or boxes, depending on daily or weekly/monthly views) and I want those to sync with the Labels in Outlook. Like I said, it does sync the Categories, but it would be nice to make the Labels in Outlook match the Category of the appointment automatically.

Does anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks,

It can be done in Agendus, but I think it's two different things. I'm not quite sure, as I sync with Palm Desktop.

I found the answer to this question! This information is at:

http://www.calendar-updates.com/color.htm

In short, you set up a rule in Outlook (XP and above). Here's the solution to what I was after ...

HOW TO AUTOMATICALLY APPLY COLOR
1. Open Microsoft Outlook and click to view your calendar.
2. Right-click on the calendar grid, and then click Automatic Formatting on the shortcut menu.
3. Click Add, and then type a name for the rule such as "Holiday".
4. In the Label list, click a color of your choice.
5. Click Condition to specify the conditions under which the color will be applied.
6. Click the More Choices tab.
7. Select Categories and choose a category of your choice (such as "Holiday").
Note: All of our Calendar Updates are assigned categories for your convenience. The schedule will need to be imported onto your calendar before you will see our assigned category in your list.
8. Click OK three times to close the boxes on your screen.
9. If the colors are not immediately visible on your calendar, switch to your Inbox and then back to your calendar. All items assigned to the category that you selected should now be in color.
Colors are visible in Day/Week/Month view of your Calendar.
Note: If you manually assign a color to an item, automatic coloring cannot be used on that item.
