I would like to know if you can SAFELY delete the other language files that are on the T3 - I keep seeing filename _en & then the same for other languages. I don't need French or any other language, so...
If you can do this safely, can anyone tell me which files are involved? It seems that there are many, or can you just look for the *._fr etc & this will be the only thing to look for?
TIA,
Eli

take a look at jacksprat from brayder software and refer to the corresponding discussion thread here.

JackSprat is perfectly safe to use to remove the language files - but JUST the language files, delete anything else and you will be in a world of problems.
I removed the language files, it freed up some ROM - I added a couple of programs to the Flash ROM with JackFlash, but it isn't that mind-blowingly handy - you need a copy of JackFlash in RAM for those programs to work, so it saves space but not great if you have to do a hard reset and you left your memory card at home.
If you remove the language files it does NOT free up RAM - the place you put most programs, only Flash ROM.

Why do you say that? I used JackSprat to delete a number of ROM apps without a single problem. (From what people have said, removing some communication-related apps may cause unforseen issues with bluetooth, etc.)

A hard reset does not affect apps in Flash ROM. As long as you have FlashEnable or JackSafe on your card, you can safely delete JackFlash. I think that's basically what you're saying, except that JF isn't required to remain on the handheld in order to run apps stored in Flash ROM.

You must take on account that if PalmOne ever gets to release a ROM update or OS upgrade you need to restore all programs removed from ROM and of course remove any programs added to it. Otherwise the update will not work.
