I am having a problem when Syncing with Outlook 2002. The problem I am having is every time I sync, outlook pops up a window and tells me that another program is trying to access e-mail address stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? It gives me a dropdown list with times. I can allow it for up to 10 minutes.

The problem is that the Hotsync stops unitl I answer this. And some times it pops up more than one time during a sync.

Does anyone know how to turn this feature in Outlook off?

I looked in the options and can find nothing to set.

Thanks,

Mike

I've seen that window flash up, but it always goes away before I have a chance to respond...

Theorizing here...could it have to do with Outlook trying to download mail? I have noticed before that after syncing, I go into Outlook, and new mail is there, so I have wondered if syncing with outlook starts some outlook processing rather than just opening the outlook data file...

This would appear to be consistent with your problem and what I'm seeing...I don't get a lot of e-mail, and on my broadband connection checking my pop mailbox wouldn't take long -- so the window comes up then leaves right away.

If you go to Tools / Options / mail setup tab / send/recieve button, you can turn off automatic scheduling of checking e-mail. Short term solution...if this is the problem, I'm not sure what settings would work so that e-mail got checked, but your hotsync wasn't interupted.

Again, this is speculation...hope it helps!

This worked for me: I use Pocket Mirror by Chapura and all I needed was a program update. I got that tip at the M$ site...
