My wife's SJ30 which was in the DSI armor hard case, fell down today and bounced right out of the case (not good).  The stylus also popped out and rolled somewhere that we can't find (even worse).

Anyway, so I want to get a new stylus and I was going to just get the Sony ST-60 three pack of stylii for the SJ series.  Can you guys make some better recommendations?

Thanks

I have the sony three pack and I like them just fine. My favorite is the navy blue/purple one.

I have bought the Innopocket 3-in-1 metal stylus from Brando and I'm very happy with it. You can find it at http://shop.brando.com.hk/3in1metalstyluscliet.php.

And for my 100th post I recommend the 3 pack also. Unless you want a pen on it. You should try eBay also. They have some pretty good deals.

Well I really just want to know if there is something better out there than the Sony stylii. I don't want a pen on the stylus!

What do you mean by "better"?

Higher quality, nicer feel when in use, perhaps something that's heavier and fits in the hand better.

The stylii that come in the 3 pack have a nice coating that feels better in the hand than did the oem stylus. The 3 pack's silver stylus has more of a grip to it IMHO, but as I stated before the, the navy blue/purple is my favorite.

I have the chrome pdapanache stylus (http://www.pdapanache.com/products.asp?PID=SSJ) which is fairly nice. Not sure if it's worth almost $20 by the time you pay for shipping, though. I had hoped it would be a little bit heavier than it is.

Agreed - the Pda Panache stylus is nice, but it's too light. I have a PDA Panache stylus for my old Visor, and it's fantastic.

I think the problem is that the SJ-series silo is too small, so even a metal stylus still feels light.

I agree, though, that the price is kind of steep for the PDA Panache. It cost me $35 (Canadian - $22.45 USD converted) plus a $5 handling fee plus $1.80 GST (the latter two charges paid to the post office on delivery).

Total cost - forty bucks for a stick of metal. I think I'm nuts.

I just ordered a two-pack of stylii from Innopocket (http://www.innopocket.com/EShop/Main/product_list.php?page=3&name=Sony) that got good reviews from The Gadgeteer (http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/innopocket-metalstyli-review.html). These stylii look to be the same as the ones I ordered for my SJ30.

Although shopping around, I found the same two-pack at Global Source (http://www.glblsrc.com/shop/customer/product.php?productid=17&cat=15&page=1) for $16.00 and free 2 day shipping in the lower 48 states. Ah well. Innopocket ships first class priority mail from Hong Kong.

I just checked and it seems like Global Source does NOT have free 2-day shipping in the US.  I just went to order and 2nd day shipping via Airborne to NJ (which is not too far away from Global Source) is almost $7.

If you aren't concerned about one that can fit in the stylus slot, then I'd recommend the one I use. I use a Fisher Space Pen/Stylus combo that can be picked up from their website for $20 plus shipping.

Well, I do want one that fits in the silo. Since these are for my wife (her clie), she preferred to have the Sony Stylus 3-pack (ST-60). So we got that at bestbuy.com for $15.

Since it was for your wife, and she probably carries a purse with a pen in it all the time... she wouldn't need another pen in her stylus.

But for all the men out there who walk into a meeting and find that you forgot to grab a pen... I find the stylus with the pen inside invaluable! I picked up a 3-pack on eBay for under $10.

may be water under the bridge now, but I had a stylus from an iPAQ and I loved the feel. It was pretty weighty and had a good feel. I was also using another PDA case that had a separate pocket for the stylus so it wasn't that bad.

It has since been lost (thanks kids), and now I am using the "stocker", with the stock screen cover (new C3 Krussel on the way). Definitely looking for a replacment stylus.
