Hey all, I have a number of .pdb files that are for books that I'd like to access on my Palm. I have sync'd them with my Palm but can't figure out how to access them. They're not showing up anywhere on my Palm in a place where I would think I could open them. For instance, I can see them when I go into the place on my Palm where I can see how much memory I have, what's installed, etc., but I can't see them in any of the menus. Am I missing some piece of software that allows me to read them? I have installed ReadThemAll but when I open it up, bring down the menu to choose to open a different file it says there aren't any for me to open. Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

.pdb is a generic file extension for Palm Database Files.
Where did you get the eBook files? Are they from a specific site such as MobiPocket, iSilo, Palm Digital Media? It is likely they are in a format that requires a specific reader.
If they are Palm Digital Media files, you will need Palm Reader, which is free. The same goes for the other formats.
Check where you got them to see what format they are in.
Feel free to check our eBook specific forum for a variety of free Palm Reader formatted eBooks and links to many other eBook sites and resources.

Thanks for the reply, bryus. I don't know what specific type of reader they require. I can't find any documentation for them. I got them off of the Gospelink CD's. I'll give Palm Reader a try. Thanks again.

Grrr....
Well, here's what I just did. I downloaded and installed Palm Reader. I deleted the other reader and deleted the pdb's and reinstalled the pdb's and Palm Reader says there are no books installed on my Palm, but I can see them when I check out everything that is installed on my Palm. Do you think this has to do with not using the recommended reader for the books?

I got it working. I just found a different reader that would work. Someone else who uses Gospelink led me in the direction of a reader that works. Thanks for your help.

No problem. As I said, the right reader for the format is vital. Glad you got it worked out.
