Sorry if this has already been answered, but I did a search and did not find it.

I am still using my Palm m515 and plan on continuing to do so. I’ve just purchased a Treo 600 (and love it). Has anyone had any luck doing a hot sync with the two devices? Presently, I have my m515 (Palm OS 4.1) on my desktop and my Treo (Palm OS 5.0) on my laptop and can’t sync the two. Since I need the data for my business, I feel that I need the redundancy of the two devices, but haven’t had any luck syncing the two devices.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Are you synching both devices with a single PIM like MS Outlook?

Dear Chuckster,

Thanks for your email. Yes, I am using Palm Desktop Software v4.1 on both systems.

Forgive me, but I don't understand your question. You seem to have 2 computers (a desktop and laptop) on which you are syncing different PDAs. Are you saying that you want to sync both PDAs to both computers. That is, you want to sync the treo with the laptop and the desktop and the m515 with the destop and the laptop?

Let me see if I can be more specific. My objective is to be able to sync my Palm m515 directly with my Treo 600. However, since the devices use different OS, I am reluctant to do so and have been warned that it may be a problem. Therefore, I have set up my Palm m515 with my desktop and my Treo with my laptop. Thus I am able to sync my files to a computer for back up purposes, but am not able to sync the two handheld devices with eachother, which is my goal.

Presently, I have to remember changes I've made and beam each record to the other device, which as you can imagine is a real pain. I know I can import/export my calendar, address book, etc., but that becomes burdensome.

Any suggestions you may have will be appreciated!!
