Does an application like Sony's "MSImport" and "MSExport" exist for the T3? Short of using an external card reader, I can't figure out how to copy files to the SD card. OK, I can "install files like .pdb and .prc files, but I want to move some .txt files, etc. but HotSync complains when I drop the file into the bottom section of Palm's Quick Install app.
For those who don't know, the MSImport/MSExport apps are apps that run on the Palm and the PC respectivly which, when run while the Clie was set in the cradle, the PC would "see" the Memory Stick as an external disk drive. You could simply open up Windows Explorer and drag-and-drop files to and from the Memory Stick.
Does anything like this exist for the T3?

Second vote for CardExport. I use it every day, sometimes several times. Uses large block transfers to the Palm, so it is very fast.

Or buy a card reader. It's cheaper I feel. ;)
Card Export does not work on a Mac, but Mark/Space, the company that makes The Missing Sync for Mac & Clie users, makes a Mac compatible app that mounts the SD card on the desktop. However, it's a bit pricey, around $29.00.

Seriously, there are compromises. With Card Export, you do not have to worry about carrying a card reader, but you do need the software loaded on the computer you use. In addition, you have to have a HotSync cable to connect the device to the computer. This is not a problem if you have a computer at home and at work that you need to transfer information back and forth.
With the card reader, you have something extra to carry around with you. Fortunately, they are pretty compact. In addition, they are much faster than Card Export.
One nice thing about Card Export, you do not put added wear on the SD card taking it in and out of a card reader.
Just some more thoughts to roll around your head...
Take care,

I use card export all the time from home, but I also carry a Sandisk Cruzer around with me (basically a thumbdrive that uses SD) to transfer files elsewhere. With the cruzer, you get your SD reader and an upgradable thumbdrive.

Does anyone have any experiences with SyncWizard? It is discounted at $11.45 at palmgear.

I recently upgraded to a T3 from a Clie T665. My wife now uses the Clie and we are both using the Palm Desktop. After I installed Card Export the Clie would no longer hotsync. I wrote Softick Support and got the following answer,"Current version of Softick CardExport is designed for Palm Computing PDAs only. It also works with Sony Clie NX series. However, you could try to download latest Palm Desktop for Sony Clie NX, it should work with any Sony devices and fix this problem with HotSync.
Just FYI

I'm like "motionmind" use CardExport at home, and carry the Cruzer with me when I'm out and about, my only problem is trying to figure out what I've got on what SD card, think I need to get some little colored dots or something :-)

LOL! they sell those little colored dots at office supply stores...i've used them before. Now though, I have all different sizes of sd, so I can tell them apart that way.

Thanks for the info! CardExport is exactly what I'm looking for. I use it at work where I have sync capabilities, but no card reader, and I use a card reader at home where I don't (yet) have sync capabilities.
Very cool!
