I've got a Palm Tungsten/W and the headset starts having problems with the jack connection, and consequently I loose most of the time the voice signal. The warranty is by now void and in Spain (where I live) the technical service is not too good.
I think the problem is at the connection (inside the jack female), I already tried with a new headset and another from a colleague, and the problem persists. Seems like the contact inside the plug is just not proper, either from the actual connection or from the inner cables leading to the connection.
Is there any way I could fix this myself? I believe it has to be a typical problem with the jack female that should be solved by revising the cables and the actual female connection, though I don't know if there is something I should know before dismounting the PDA.
Cheers,
