questions from a tungsten tt newbie

howdy all palm experts. i got myself problems with my tungsten t.

1. why is it when i synchronize adobe files, or Word files , or picture files and others that i can't see them in my pda or get them to work into some of my applications which were supposed to support them. i install those files into my Toshiba 64mb SD Card. Now it refuses to hotsync thos files.
one example: i have PalmReader but i can't seem to open an ebook that is already installed in my tungsten.

2. whats up with VersaMail? i use my school popmail, so i carefully versamail's instructions, set up my account, and tried hotsyncing and it won't work.

3. my tungsten has had a few crashes and freeze moments the past few days. is it common or should i be more careful?

My biggest gripe now is how i ain't able to sync my .doc, .bmp, adobe, video, and other files when i have the applications to support them.

Hi,
is there any problem listed in the hotsnyc protocol? Usually, if something fails during hotsync there is an entry in the log file.

Do you have the requisite software (eg: Adobe Reader and Documents To Go v6 or so) installed onto the handheld device directly? If not, you'll have problems like you're describing. Check your Hotsync conduits and make sure that you are (1) loaded with those apps, and (2) if not, put in your CDs that came with your handheld and install them. THEN you *should* be up and running fine.

Go into your Hotsync Logfile and pull out the error messages on this. Chances are, something got horked. Point to know about. SOME ISPs (this may include your school) won't allow for an outside connection for sending mail. Something to be aware of.

Not really. You will want to figure out what you installed that is causing the conflicts on your Palm. If it continues, make a FULL list of software you've installed, including version numbers as well as your Handheld's software revision number and let us know. We will all try to help you out as best we can.
