Yep, I bought one today! Surprisingly, I don't hate Grafitti2, I thought I would, but it's OK.
I'm having fun migrating from my SJ33 to the T3.
Checked the ROM and it's 10/31/03, so I'm good.

A BIG Thanks to everyone who answered my questions in the other thread! :)

Great choice, Sid. I went from an NR70V to the T3 and love it. It's a beautiful, fast machine.

I love mine. But I am dumb, things that bother other people don't bother me. So all the negative reviews and such, I read them and go "that wouldn't bother me".

Also, I had a PalmV about 4 years ago and learned Graffiti1 well, and when I got this, I did Grafitti2 without even realizing it. I assumed it was the same, but now I see it's not. So, for me, Graffiti2 just seemed natural, since I did it THINKING I was using the old 1 style.

Any recommendations for a screen protector? I'm using (just to have something) Belkin for Tungsten, but it's not for the T3 because it's too short.
Thanks!

congrats Sid! I love my T3 too. G2 took a while to get used to but now I think I like it better than G1. I've got a Brando screen protector on mine, I like the matte finish. Martin Fields and Boxwave are getting rave reviews too.

Enjoy your new toy!

After trying most of the popular protectors, I think the Martin Fields are fantastic.

Welcome to the T3, Sid! Good to see you over here. :)

I use CompanionLink screen protectors from http://www.freescreenprotectors.com/ , code FREESP. All you pay is shipping. Mine last from 3 - 6 months and are very clear. I've been using these for upwards of three years and still have no complaints.

Hi Tanker Bob! Good to be here, and nice to hear from you again.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I like the review of the T3 you wrote at your site.

I just checked this site, but they had no T3-specific protectors, just the earlier T series, and it states "not for the T3". Did I miss something?

Bob

It sez "Not for T3" at their site. Do they fit OK?

Use the NR70 ones:
CompanionLink Screen Protectors (12 Pack) are one of the most useful accessories you will ever purchase for your Sony CLIÉ NR70 or Palm Tungsten T3 Handheld! This model supports the NR70 Series models and Palm Tungsten T3 model.

I don't find them at the site?

If you go to the NR-series page for CompanionLinks, it says they work for the T3. I can vouch for that. Sorry about the confusion.

Those are the same ones that I use (bought them for my NR). I've been quite pleased with them.

Well, my free screen protectors from FSP arrived today, they are not CompanionLink, but incipio brand, (there was no other choice when I ordered) and while they are the right size, they have that same hazy, orange peel like appearance that the Belkin ones have, I'm disappointed. Hopefully the Martin Fields screen protector that I also ordered will live up to its review.
On a happier note, my InnoPocket metal case also came today, and that is satisfying. :)
