ChessGenius is the only one to support HiRes at the moment. But its engine is still basically unchanged. Chess Tiger has supposedly been changed and should have more strength now than when it was first introduced.
In a series of test games that I conducted between CG & CT on similar machines (two 33MHz Clies), they were actually pretty well matched.
On an OS5 machine, my money would tend to lean toward Tiger -- supposedly it uses hash tables. But in general, I trust Christophe when he says the engine has been updated. Chess Genius has only really had cosmetic updates, as the author has been releasing it for other platforms (PocketPC & Nokia...).
