Hi there,

What are "Launchers" use for? Any special function rather than "make your desktop more beautiful"?
Among so many Launchers, which one U think is better?

If the only mission for it is just make my background and icons more beautiful, which one should I choose?

Thanks

it really depends on your needs and priorities for your Hand Held.
Zlauncher
Silver screen
Facers
these are 3 launchers which offers different set-ups and functionalities
Zlauncher- Has all the needs yet due to this it makes the launcher too bloated
Facer- Good resolution and color combination but lacks functionalities and has T3 security preference issues
SilverScreen- Simple and unsofisticated but too simple so why use such luncher

Try to download each launcher and try them to know what fits you, yet u can't simultaneously use them all

Hi,
I use ZLauncher. It offers more features than most other launchers a very good price.

It's does more than make the device look better, it is a filemanager, supports starting apps from the card, a quicklauncher, etc. etc.

I would make sure that you try 2 different launchers, for sure. Here's what I recommend (not necessarily in order of which I prefer):

1. LauncherX - LauncherX is a very simple, yet pretty powerful launcher. You can customize it to your needs pretty easily and it does a lot of cool things.
a. Create multiple tabs for different software
b. If you use a program like WordSmith, you can create a tab and have all of your wordsmith files appear right there in the launcher. This is very convenient for me with my many work files and personal files. You can actually have a different tab for each one.
c. You can set up the "gadgets" (tools such as a power off button, file manager button, etc.) in any order you want.
d. You can customize each tab.

2. ZLauncher - The most affordable of all the launchers and the most frequently updated. It is packed with a lot of features, but often times, it is accused of being not to user friendly and over packed with power. Here are some good features (according to me) of ZL:
a. VERY customizable (there is myriad ways to personalize this launcher to fit your needs/likes from the many different available skins, to how you want to set up the top/bottom bars with different gadgets to background images, etc.).
b. Good file manager
c. Low Price ($12 with free lifetime updates)

I am personally using LauncherX at the moment but have extensively used ZL and even MegaLauncher (although their most current version of MegaLauncher is not very compatible with the Tungsten T3.....a new version is in the works that should have some very nice features and they may be back on my Tungsten T3).

Try them all and have fun!

The "Trash Can" is a nice feature.

Check out my review at PDABuyersGuide (http://pdagroove.com/software/palm_launchers.htm). I try to cover each of the major launchers in some detail, which might help you see the potential benefits.
