hey all
I got a Tungsten E for xmas but I realize that I am not using it that much, just my work schedule and I feel like I may not need it but I think I do, If someone could explain all the functions, Im a beginner to the whole palm age, but not the technology age, any help would be greatly appreciated

Personally I use it for Baby photos, so I'm not lugging around a 4" thick wallet/photo album. I even keep a couple Kinoma movie's of my daughter so those "interested" can see her in action. I also find it much easier to keep an extensive phone book on my palm than scrolling forever on my cell. And games, my biggest weakness, I have gone through hundreds of demos! Killer time waster. I personally don't use my Palm for work at all, just an entertainment toy. There are tons of great programs to play with, (i.e. workout schedules and trackers, updateable sports trackers, etc.) This is really a paltry list of all your options. Dig around at
www.palmgear.com you'll find something to peak your interest!
Currently I am trying to "devize" a way to hook up my Palm to my cell phone and surf the web! Wish me luck, and I hope this helps at all.:)

For a good free program, check out--
Avantgo http://www.avantgo.com to get websites (such as the NYTimes on you T|E.
Have you looked at Palm digital media for e-books to use with the undled Palm Reader? There are many sites for free (public domain) E-books as well.
As you can see I do a lot of reading on my Palm!

To become familiar with all its functions, have a look at the handbook that came on the installation disc. Then you can begin to experiment with third-party software downloaded from the Web.
