I have a SE T608 phone from Sprint. I've tried using the phone updater software with no luck. Is there a place on Palm's website I can search for or request the status of drivers for this phone?

You should be able to use the T610 (or T68i) BT settings.

The bluetooth settings between your T608 and Palm (if you have BT Palm?), is a no-brainer:

Go to Prefs/Bluetooth
Click on Trusted devices and add your phone (the phone must be discoverable)

1. Create a new Connection
- Connect to: Phone
- Via: Bluetooth
- Device: (Your added device above, the T608)
- Model: Ericsson T610

2. Create a new Network Service
- Service: Sprint
- User Name: [Your username @Sprint, if any]
- Pasword: [Your password @Sprint, if any]
- Connection: [The one you created above]
- Phone: [Sprint phone. For GPRS, try *99#]

You might need informatin from Sprint as well, such as GPRS settings, if they use scripts and so on, but try this first and see if it works.

I've got all that working and I'm able to connect my T3 to my T608 for networking and such, but what I can't do it use the other phone functions such as dialing from my T3.

And selecting T610 as your phone doesn't fix the problem for you? T610 and T608 should be very similar in their BT stack, and using the T610 setting should work. I use the T610 script for both the P800 and the T68 I own, and dialling works great.

I tried that and I just keep getting errors about the phone not being able to handle the request....check the driver.

Ok. Try with the Standard GSM driver then, and enter the script;

E0X1+CMEE=1;+CSCS="GSM";+CMGF=0;V1

Should work. It's my last suggestion, after this I'm out of ideas. I don't have all AT commands for the phone, but please try this too.

but it's now in repair due to the fact that after 21 days active would no longer recieve sprintpcs signal ANYWHERE. Now at sony erricson repair, speaking of sony erricson, have you gotten your replacement battery? Most T608's shipped with VERY old batteries (9+ months) and you can get a new one for free by calling sony erricson support and asking if there is anything you should do because your battery life is short and they just send you a new battery (or make you deep cycle it a few times first). Exceptional support. Go check out this link...

Hated the slow menus though.

Check out this for T3 setup...

PM me and I'll look up the exact settings I have in my palm. I'll tell you how the phone is set up exactly when the effing thing comes back from repair....

Thanks for the advice regarding the battery. I've been told it may be here as soon as Wednesday.

Still no luck connecting for dialing and such. But now my T3 beeps whenever I have any incoming or outgoing calls. Strange.

The link you sent seems to refer to using the phone for a network connection. I already have that part working. I just can't get the "Phone" specific features to work like dialing from my T3 etc...

sounds like the fix is just removing the init string for that too!

I remember browsing your site when it FIRST came out and I had my brand new LG 5350.....

Once again, thank you. That was perfect.

Yeah, we were pioneers back then....but then I got bored with it (as I seem to do everything....gaming, PC, women.....well, just the same one...LOL) I haven't touched that site in over a year. Still getting traffic though.
