Which card is better/faster for the Tungsten E?
The MultiMedia Card of the Secure Digital Card?
Thanks in advanced,

SD card is faster, MMC is usually a bit cheaper. The price difference is not very big (at least here in the UK), so I have bought SD cards.

By the way, buy the cards online. It's usually more expensive from the highstreet shops. I bought mine from Expansys. I think they have a Dutch website as well.

Hi Ziggy
Bedankt! Thanks for your replies. Im gonna go for a SD card. Do you think 128 mb is enough for some applications and maybe some games?

128 MB is be enough for most applications. You only might want to get a bigger one if you want to listen to MP3 files. 128 MB is enough for about 2 CDs, so if you have a large collection of MP3 files get a bigger SD card.
I'm not bothered too much about MP3 files; I only use a 64 MB card for programs and e-books, and a 32 MB card to make a backup of RAM.

As far as I know MMC is fast enough for MP3.

Does anyone know if there is a way to partitin a SD card? I've got two devices that use different formats (a T/E and a Rio S50 mp3 player) and just wanted to use one card if possible and just switch it back and forth between devices.

You know, that is the first time that I've heard THAT question. I suppose it was bound to spring up at some point during handheld usage.
To my knowledge, there isn't anything that will partition a memory card. I believe that you will be "stuck" getting a second card.

Yeah, got a nice little reply from SanDisk Tech support stating that the card cannot support two different types of file systems at the same time.

and you can only use Fat12/16 filesystems on your card for palm to recognize it (2k/4k/8k clusters only, any others won't work)
and yeah, one advice -> try to get panasonic SD cards as they are the best out there (speed wise) ... don't get Kingmax / Sandisk as they are pretty slow as well... i am using lexmark and they're okay ;)
