I managed to get the White Screen of Death, thanks to Jack Sprat/Flash... I know, I know.... so it has been over 4 hours already... when does the battery go dead... and why does the web sit say it works with T3s if this happens to I guess everyone?

Do we know of anyone who got these programs working, and doing as advertised at the web site?

I used JackSprat on my T3 with no ill effects. I haven't used JackFlash.

So if you use Sprat to say remove the languages... what value it that without Flash to use that memory? Thank you...

I was just testing JS. I'm waiting for Brayder to resolve the T3 problems JF has.

Do you folks really have much hope Brayder is going to fix this? It's been weeks since they acknowledged the problem, and months since the T3 has been out. I think they're just going to let this pass until the new devices are out, despite their emails and their "we're working on it" statements.
Time will tell. I hope I'm wrong.

I got this tonight...
Van:
Your comments have been passed to the Development team. We believe that
less that 15% of T3s are impacted by the issue and that is the main reason
that we have not pulled it.

Which 15%: all the posters on Brighthand and PalmOne City? Seriously, I've only seen about 2 people here who haven't had a problem when using these apps on a T3 that isn't in a new-out-of-the-box state. I'd really like to think I'm in the 95% bracket of compatible T3s; I'm just waiting to hear more success stories. So far the disaster stories out number those.
That email response you posted looks like they aren't very motivated to put much effort into fixing it.
So the question is, do I risk it? If it fails, I guess all I've lost is the 4 hours it takes to bleed the battery down, and some nails as I bite them to the cuticle wondering if my BackupBudyVFS restore is going to work. True?
Cheers

The whole experience does not leave me feeling very warm. But why should we be so worried when we have so much memory. I think I agree with you in that what is there motivation to fix it for the T3 with new units due out soon. Perhaps this is a problem of free upgrades and updates ... time will tell...

Brayder will fix it. Unfortunately it may take some time. I haven't bothered as it has been rumored that PalmOne may issue another ROM update or upgrade soon.

Very good points by all. I still have a ton of free memory (compared to what I used to get by with on my NZ-90), and there are a few rumors about a new ROM update. The most credible rumor I read is in one of the ream-me files for the latest DateBK5 interim release which mentions a PalmOne update that should fix some problems on the T3. I don't think we'll see an OS 6.0 update for a year (until after they got many of us to buy a new OS6.0 device), but I do believe we'll see another update for OS5.x.x, maybe one that puts the DIA support files in ROM.
Good discussion.
Cheers
