Ok, here's a question for the eBook loving community. how would you feel about eBooks formatted in the RepliGo format? I have been playing with RepliGo this week and I think that it may work for eBooks.
I will post an eBook in RepliGo format soon and you can let me know what you think.
Thanks.

Personally, I'm a Palmreader fan with very little memory left on my Tung|E. I would ratehr use it for more E-books than for another reader.
But that's just me...

Hi bryus
Please do, I'd be interested in checking it out, as I use PalmReader Pro and all it's features, bookmarks, notes, word lookup etc, Just a quick think on it and I do not believe I could replace it with RepliGO, issue with purchased books etc...

Thanks for the input. Really I am just exploring an idea. I have converted this week's eBook Anne of Green Gables into RepliGo. It wasn't very difficult. A few notes of comparison to the Palm Reader version.
-RG doesn't have chapter links like PR.
-RG is more than twice the size of PR.
-RG has virtually the same formatting in page view but looses right/center/left justification on flowed text.
-RG allows you to highlight text and copy it to other applications on your Palm.
-RG still has page breaks like a printed page even with flowed text.
I am attaching the file with a .pdb extension that must be removed to read because .rgo files are not on the upload file permission list yet.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks

Be interesting to see how well it compares.
The file size is a bit of a prig.
I use repligo a lot, and with the advangatges of ver. 2 it could become quite good though propierty ebook software.
Is it easier to convert? I imagine html ebooks would be a breeze?

Conversion was relatively easy. I just use the same process as for my Palm Reader eBooks to get the line breaks straight. Then, I Just have to format it in word as if it was going to be printed. When I am done, I convert it. the conversion process takes much longer than for Palm Reader. It can take RepliGo minutes to do what DropBook does in seconds. And at a much greater size.
Whats the advantages of using repligo?

RepliGo is does an excellent job of translating documents into readable files on a Palm. They retain all their formatting and are great to look at. It is really everything that Adobe Acrobat Reader should be on the Palm.
As I stated above there are some drawbacks to using it for ebooks but it is a great webpage/document viewer.

I agree! If adobe will improve their version of Palm reader, I dont mind paying $10 to $15 as long as I can convert PDF or HTML documents in my PC.
