Ok so I connect to the internet with my T3 using either my computer (for which I have a Tecom dongle) and my Sony Ericsson T610 cell phone when I'm away from home.

I've found that the USB dongle just plain sucks and I'm looking to replace it. Hopefully someone has had better experience with theirs than I do with mine.

Just to shed light on how bad it is, I can't connect to my computer from my bedroom (one room over) to use my bluetooth connection at all. Yet, I can have my cell phone sitting right next to the computer and get a perfect connection with decent speed. I also tested other things like putting my cell phone in my jacket pocket and putting the jacket in the living room (which is a greater distance than between the computer room and the bedroom) and still have it connect with no delay and decent speeds.

I've concluded my dongle just plain sucks, but I really don't know what to replace it with. The reason why I don't just use my phone for connection all the time is that the data transfer rate is much slower than when I'm connected to my PC.

I was thinking of looking into Logitech's bluetooth mouse since the charging station functions as a USB receiver sine I also need to get a new mouse, but I don't know how good the hub really is.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Since I didn't get a response I fiddled with stuff myself. I've come to the conclusion that the Tecom dongle (model BT3030) just plain sucks. I remember that several months ago I purchased a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse which I quickly stashed in my closet when I found that it was missing the necessary bluetooth profiles to connect my PDA over bluetooth.

But I whipped it back out mainly to see if it would work with the hacked bluetooth drivers I was using with my dongle (because the dongle is discontinued they no longer provide updates on the drivers so I hacked the newest drivers to work with my dongle). Well, it worked. And the range is much, much better than the Tecom dongle and I can connect my PDA to my network via bluetooth. Life is good.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the Logitech Bluetooth Mouse (model MX900) would probably give me the same (if not better functionality) but since I have this working, I'll hold off on it for now. I'm using the MS BT mouse with my system and the only drawback is that with the hacked drivers it doesn't autoconnect so I have to do this manually every time I reboot the computer. But since that doesn't happen often, I can live with it.

Just thought I'd update in case this info helps anyone out.

I just recently got the Linksys BT dongle, and it works great! range is really good, using it to connect my PC to T68i, T3, and an Emtac GPS, it also pairs with my logitech BT mouse ( not the MX900 one) but the mouse does not seem to be as responsive as it is with it's own reciever, it also connects with my BT headset and car-100, As for the T3 have both sync and network BT working great!
