Damaged Displa

Today, my NX70 took a tumble onto the floor. Now, when the pda is closed in tablet style, The left hand of the screenlooks to be missing a line of pixels all the way down the screen. Has anyone seen this before.

I have seen so many bad screens from many different devices, so that any combination of damage is possible.

If you have a store warranty and the physical damage isn't too obvious, get it replaced.

The very first week, my NX fell out of my pocket and crashed on the hard concrete floor. Talk about a sick feeling, fortunately cosmetic damage was slight and the Clie still worked, phew:)!

There was a thread at one time that discussed a ribbon cable that dislodged and caused what you describe. It sounded like an easy fix for someone that knew what they were doing. Maybe someone here can assist.

if you don't have a warranty i think i saw a site that repair PDA i will look into this if you are interested

Thanks for the information. After posting here and searching around for a bit, I headed over to Best Buy and they exchanged it for a new one. After a bit of fiddling around with MS Backup, it's just a good as ever.

I dropped my pda from about 2 ft high. It landed flat on the face. I was scared, but it just slipped off my lap and fell with a thud. However, only a couple small scratches that aren't really noticeable. 2 ft isn't a lot and most devices can survive it, but it was still really scary.
