I have a 512MB Panasonic SD and after using it for over 2 months it now is not readable at times when I place it in the T3.
I cant seem to figure out why is can be read sometimes and sometimes it cant be.
I have also tried to copy the contents via my 6 in 1 card reader but it never sees the card.
Any ideas???
I wanted to copy the contents before trying to re-format but have not figured out why the reader wont see that there is a card in it.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Twice again tonight it happened to me, I guess I would rather that then have it fry the SD but this is reminding me of my Clie and its memory stick... I am not amused...

I had a T3 back before PalmOne released the SD card fix. What you are describing happened to me with a 64 Mb card. After working fine for a while, the T3 started having occasional trouble recognizing it. The same thing occurred using my card reader. Finally the T3, my card reader, and a Kodak digital camera all failed to recognize it ever again. It had been fried. But since they released the patch, I haven't heard too many reports like this.

Might be time to exchange it if you can, most cards still have some kind of warranty left. Some 5 years, some lifetime. There can be any number of causes for a card to go bad. Static electricity is one of them. BTW, cards do not have to fail immediately if damaged by ESD.

Well I remember by accident releasing the card from the T3 so that it popped up a bit.
I did not think anything of it so I pressed it back into the slot.
Next thing I know it no longer was recognized.
After many attempts to get it to become recognized, (out, in, out, in, out, in) it now is and has worked flawlessly for 24 over hours.
Strange..
I have when it works its broke it works, with no rhyme or reason...
The card is my pretty new Panasonic 512 MB...

I am using a Lexar(Panasonic) 256 card in my T3. Same thing. Mostly its there, sometimes its not. I have contacted Palm which recommended changing conduits. However my conduits are all set correctly. They assure me that I do not have to worry about the card being fried. Time will tell. I am thinking I should perhaps put it in a card reader and make a backup just in case.....
