Go to www.palmgear.com
or Handango.com
also freewarepalm.com any of these sites have a lot of different software, the first two sites are the major ones, think there's another pdalive.com? ANyways, they usually have a .zip file for the program. Use a program like winzip, filzip or IZArc (filzip and IZarc are freeware: izarc is better more archive file support) The linky: http://www.izsoft.dir.bg/izarc.htm
Unzip the program, it should show up in its own folder then double click on the .prc file but first read the readme.html or readme.txt that is usually provided in case you have to install additional files like the other .pdb files in the folder or another file like mathlib.prc or zlib.prc.
With the palm desktop software installed you should just have to double click on the file and the quickinstall program should launch, then just touch the hotsync button on your pda.

I actually don't sync with outlook since I hate it :) Use mozilla mail instead but then again I don't like hotsyncing my mail and since I don't keep contacts there anyways. I use the palmdesktop software to enter in the calendar/contact information. THink there is a conduit for outlook syncronization on the install cd. Just look around the cd for it and it should let you sync your contacts & mail if you have versamail installed also your notes I think but not sure.
