I've been trying to find a program that might fit what I'm trying to do, but no luck yet. I'd love to find a freeware (or cheap) password protection program for my Clie so I can lockdown/out people I show my Clie too from seeing the content in specific programs. I'd like to be able to give a password to the freeware program MyCheckbook (thank you very much for the recommendations in the earlier post!) so no one but myself can see or access it.

Please, any suggestions and ideas would greatly be appreciated. I don't want to lockdown the entire system, just specific programs. I'd prefer the program is not a hack because I plan on using the same programs on my future TG50. Thank you!

Nevermind, folks. I found what I wanted to do was available in the program and the OS.

Please share the info.  I also would like this capability with a couple of my apps.

I don't know of any freeware that will do what you want, but there are a few programs that allow you to protect selected data from prying eyes:

TealLock (www.tealpoint.com) - check out the Guest password
PDASecure (www.trustdigital.com) - allows you to PW-protect applications
PDADefense (www.pdadefense.com) - allows you to PW-protect applications or databases (not sure whether you need the pro version for such customization)

It looks to me as if Enforcer would be ideal for your needs but it looks asif it may no longer be in development:

Note -- I don't use any of these programs myself.

I like Strip v1.0 (not what you think). It's a freeware password keeper. I think that works well and suits my needs.

With the MyCheckbook application under it's Options menu it allows you lock it using a password. But, the password it uses is the one set in the Security program.

3nity and Xforcer are great security apps but don't exactly fit your needs (not freeware)

Well, I use MegaLauncher 4.1 and it gives the ability to p/w protect a category, but that doesn't remove the possibility of launching the app in other ways.

Oh well, not a big issue for me at the moment.

I like SplashID, it has a conduit so you can access your secret info in your desktop too!.
