OK, I need some serious help. This morning I tried to install Quickbits on my SJ30. Immediately after installing, I noticed the display on certain programs (i.e. handyshopper, AddressPro, etc.) was completely screwed up and before I could go back and delete Quickbits I crashed. The crash was followed by an inescapable loop of fatal exceptions and I had to do a hard reset.
I use BackUp Buddy, so initially I wasn't too worried. I set my hotsync prefernces to "desktop overwites handheld," deleted Quickbits from my desktop backup files so it wouldn't be re-installed and did a hotsync. Well about halfway through the process of reinstalling my handheld databases I got a fatal exception requiring a soft reset. I've now tried this 3 times over again, but I'm continuing to get the exception in the same place everytime. The hotsync log gives no indication what program is causing the priblem. If I watch the handheld display while hotsyncing the last program synced before the exception is "Big Clock" so I decided to try deleting Big Clock from my backup files, but this made absolutely no difference--still getting an exception in almost exactly the same spot. I have no idea what to do next.
Only about half of my programs have been reinstalled and none of my Datebook or AddressBook info, which is the most critical stuff I keep on my pda. Help!!
