Hi!

I'm currently searching for ebooks by Tom Clancy, but I can't seem to find any. Can anyone here point me in the right direction, or aren't there any ebooks by Tom Clancy released?

I read on the "last ebook read"-thread on this forum that one guy had read "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy. This is really the exact book I'm looking for, but are also interested in other books by him.

To my knowledge, there are no "official" Clancy books available in Palm format. The ones that may be floating around are illegal copies.

Since this thread may touch on the issue, links to bootleg apps / docs / warez, etc. aren't allowed on this site.

That is the most reasonable explenation. Too bad that these books aren't available in this marvelous format that the ebook is.

Second that. I gets a little ticked off about piracy, especially when it comes to ebooks. They are afterall quite cheap.

Unfortnuately Tom Clancy appears to be just one of many major authors who fail to see the possibility of eBooks. I figure that if Stephen King, one of the most popular and successful authors in modern time, is ok with it then why is everyone else so worried about it.

I know that many people have posted illegal copies of the most popular books in electronic format, typcially plain text scanned from the paper book. I have even heard of a version of LOTR for a TI calculator. I can't imagine reading an eBook on a TI calculator.

My standard response is to write to the author/publisher of your favorite books to encourage them to releace their books in eBook form. Maybe they will receive enough requests to sway them.

As for Tom Clancy specifically, I have been listening to them on audiobook since Patriot Games, and have been increasingly dissapointed with his work since Sum of All Fears. I thought the latest book, Teeth of the Tiger was mediocre at best. And a poor setup for a new series trying to wring extra milage out of a dried up character/plot base. I doubt I will waste my time on his next one, even from the library.

Well, I was looking for a Palm Reader format, since I have a Palm unit (Tungsten T).

Where did you see this? I was not able to find any eBook of a Tom Clancy work.
