AvantGo full screen support?

Since I'm new from my OS 4.0 machine (Sony Clie NR70) to the Tungsten T3 and OS 5, does AvantGo support full screen and the landscape mode of the Tungsten T3? Does it support HiRes images yet?

I'm anxiously awaiting the group at Plucker.org to make it's software compatible with the full screen of the T3.

Until then, I need full screen.

Nope. AvantGo for OS5 doesn't support Hi-Res+ modes nor landscape mode for T3 or UX-50.

A little bit later after its introduction, the OS5 version of AvantGo introduced support for 16-bit color images. However the majority of content providers (and for the sake of keep the size of the channels at minimum) provide "SD Card size" pictures. :(

However, AvantGo works quite well on my T3.

AvantGo is always way behind in updating their software for new technological advances. When Palm OS 5 was released in October of 2002, we did not see a beta version until the summer of 2003.

Hopefully, we will see a new version this summer.

I prefer native support, but you can download Code Diver Beta 6.

believe me, I would prefer native support as well, but as long as AvantoGo is still ignoring its customers wishes we probably have to use this solution. I tried to e-mail them about it but got only a automated response that they are very busy at the moment...

I wasn't trying to persuade anyone from using CodeDiver or that it was not a good idea to use it. I just wanted to note my preference. CodeDiver seems to work very well for a lot of applications that do not natively support the T3's larger screen. In fact, many are noted in this thread (http://www.palmonecity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=163).

As for AvantGo, I could not agree with you more. I am surprised they have stayed in business as long as they have.

How do you configure CodeDiver for HiRes+ support for AvantGo ?

If u downloaded the latest avantgo, which ver. is 5.3.77, codediver is no longer usable. It only works on avantgo ver. 5.3.66.

On codediver, click on VirtualSilk, set SizeChg to Force, StartedSize and StopedSize to Long.

Correct, CodeDiver will only work with build 66.

However, you can install Build 77, and get a copy of the 66 prc from someone for the main application and it will work just fine with CodeDiver and the 77 conduits. :) (that's what I use).

Why not get rid of Avantgo like I did. It does not work with palm desktop 4x for Mac. I'm using isilox to parse the web pages and isilo to read the pages. Full landscape support, image compression, unlimited user configurable pages etc. Here is a link to mounds of pre made channels and a discussion group. www.turcic.com

I never found Isilo to be as convenient as Avantgo since you have to sync your channles before you can sync them to your Palm. Or is there a way to update your channels with Isilo during a hotsync the same way as with Avantgo?
