Can't Convert Wave Files - Help!

If I go to someplace like wav central and download say 20 wav files only 2 or 3 will convert using the sound converter. I use the midi file converter to put midis in the 0 format, do I need some type of wav converter to do the same thing for wave files?

Are there limitations as to size? Are there different mini formats within wav files I need to be aware of?

If there is another thread on this topic please point the way, but I couldn't find it.

I have the same problem. Music converter doesn't change anything to this.

Ok, found the solution (whick everyone else probably already figured out). I downloaded the dBpowerAmp as recommended. This allows conversion from MP3 to Wav. What I finally figured out is that you need to change format to 22.050 khz, 8 Bit, mono. Once I converted the wav files to this format, the sound converter had no problem formatting them for the Clie.

There are other format options for dBpowerAmp, but I don't know if any of them work.:)

Really don't know what to do now ...
I have tried many other convert programs (Cdex etc ...) in many format but it doesn't work.
It is soundconverter 2. Was it soundconverter 2 or 1 for you badgemeister ?

Sorry it's not working. The sound converter that came with my T665c is listed as version 1.02. I wouldn't think the newer version would make any difference. All I know is when I use dbpoweramp to first convert wav files to 22.05 khz, 8 bit, mono, the sound converter is then able to finish the process and get them ready to install on the clie.

Sorry I can't help more than that, I don't really have an expertise in this area. Maybe someone with more knowledge can help out?
