Can't receive via IR

This may be possible stupidity on my part, but I can't seem to receive via IR. A friend w/ an NX70 tried to beam me a pic the other day, but my T|T3 never even recognized it. I have IR receive turned on under power options. Is there any other place I need to check?

FYI - I was able to beam to her, just not recieve.

Sometimes a soft reset might be necessary(very common). Make sure any BT or keyboard drivers are turned off.

I can beam my NX70 and NX80 to the T3, so I know it works.:)

I had the same thing happen to me the other day at StarBucks. I sent some date ir without problems, but when attempting to receive there was not recognition. I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot the issue, but I wondered if BT Toggle might be the agent for the problem. I only say that because I recently added that to my device and have not previously had issues with ir receiving.

Not running BT Toggle here; but since I have a BT phone and run ICS via BT @ home, I do leave it on all the time.

My T3 will beam perfectfully to my Z71, but I have to attempt up to 10 times to beam from Z71 to the T3. Data changes from PIM's beam to the T3 fairly well, but apps will rarely beam on 1 or 2 attempts. Same thing happened on a display model at Best Buy. Took 2-3 attempts to beam a small program from Z71 to their T3. Just have to accept it, huh?

No, I didn't say that being a definite, just a suggestion. Something sticks in my claw, but having trouble remembering. Besides, it's simple enough to temporarily disable it.

For example, when doing backups, it usually goes much faster with the both IR receive and the BT disabled, mostly the Bluetooth though.

Most who have had difficulty, either it needed a reset or it was a clash with another app, such as an IR keyboard driver.

Again these are only a suggestion, usually it's really something stupid. Let us know what you find, if anything.

Just to clarify, the other device in my circumstance was also a z71. Looks like the two devices share compatibility bug with the ir port. I wonder which device is in "error".

Have had the same problem on my TT2 trying to get anything from a M130. Beaming no problemo, receiving no way. Am using BTToggle, no keyboard driver. Reset doesn't do the trick. Still no solution.
