Hi all,
I am fairly new to the pda revolution but not to the technological one, however I am having great difficulty with my documents to go
The problem is every time I use it for example to read a word document or edit an exel spreadsheet when I close the document I get an exeption error and the pda resets itself. The only software that i have installed onto my pda to date aprt from eboks is an anti-virus software called VirusGaurd and Adobe reader for palm along with the software that came with the PDA.
Is there anybody experiencing the same difficulties and if you are and have fixed them please enlighten me.

Thanks in advance

I have not experienced the problem you describe. But I'm curious as to why you are running a virus protection application? There is so little discussion of viruses that work with Palm OS that I doubt you really need it. About 2 years ago there was a bit of discussion and I even installed such an app, but I quickly removed it as the chance of getting a Palm OS virus is extremely slim.

You may want to try removing that app and reinstalling DocsToGo to see if that clears things up. Somes apps can conflict with one another.

Thank you I shall try this and let you know if it has worked. The reason for the AV software was merely precautionery due to the rapid increase in pda popularity

The remedy suggested has not worked but to clarify the problem all Word to go documents generate the error without running at all, Excel documents will run and produce the error only when being closed. These errors occur on any documents copied from the pc to the pda. Any documents created on the pda do not have this issue even if they have been copied to the pc and back again.
The specific error reads like this and I am begining to think there may be a problem with the actual pda poss memory fault ?????

Emul68KMain.c, Line:456

Help anyone please

Now when you say copied from the PC to the PDA, do you mean that you've created a document on the PC, then using the DocumentsToGo application on your PC, you've asked that the file be sent to the PDA?

sounds like you may have a problem with the conversion software built into D2G. My suggestion is to go online and update to v6.005 from dataviz's site and try again. remove the files palm (that you sent to the palm from the PC) and resend them to the palm after installing the latest v. of d2g. Hope this helps.

If that doesn't help, i'd talk to dataviz.

The error message you are getting matches an old issue related to the find functionality in Docs To Go.

Try opening up Docs To Go and then:
Options... Preferences... uncheck Include in global find.
