worldmate 9.0 pro

I am using the above application, but would like to do a "update" on the data like currency etc. I am connected to my cradle. Using dialup with modem at home. How can i configure to get the update from the basic equipment that i have.

You need a PPP connection between your Palm and your computer. This will go through USB.

Check Softick PPP (http://www.softick.com/ppp/) out.

I believe it updates curriency rates and weather information via a standard hotsync, is your Worldmate conduit configured correctly?

so do i need a cradle?? i don't intend to conect network via my phone because i did not subscribe to WAP or GPRS.

Well, you need to right click on the Hotsync icon in the system tray on your PC ( if it's a Mac, can't help ya), once you've done that you should see a list of options, select "Custom" this will bring up a list of installed conduits, scroll to you see "Worldmate" select it then click the button that says change, this should bring up a configuration dialog for that conduit at this point it should be intuitive what to do.

I tried, not problem when i trying to connect under "preference > Network" but when i am trying to update in the worldmate pro, after a while it said my internet connection got some problem, can someone who had tried successfull help me? Like any other feature i need to installed?

Sounds like you have gone to the WorldMate conduit setting and checked the box "use proxy" , do you need to use a proxy??

Try unchecking that box and doing a normal Hotsync

Hi all, i tried but failed again. Still cannot update. I have change the conduit setting because my internet access use a proxy, but couldn't gain connection to the site. At first i taught that it could be due to my connection but i tried to connect to "webpro" i can surf web without any problem. Can help me?

the conduit should say "synchronize all files" then open the conduit by pushing the change button.you have to check the "enable Hot Sync action for worldmate" box inside the conduit

yes i did that, and "matrix42" mention to be before to uncheck "proxy" but than my ISP using proxy, so i add the proxy to the same as my ISP, but it doesn't help at all. Any other reason? and print screen of your conduit? And also do i need to do any setting for my PDA?
