Please help......I am unsure whicbh way to go. My wife just bought me a T3. I think it is great, but I want a unit that is capable of wireless email and internet without necessarily relying on a bluetooth phone? Is the T/C the appropriate solution or treo 600 or am I missing something with regards to the T3. Sorry if this is really basic and thank you in adavance for any help.

T/C requires a WiFi hotspot for service. Treo600 is cellular based, so it uses the cell system for data. T|T3 requires BT phone (or data cable) and also uses the cellular network for data.

T/C gets along well with home WiFi LAN, you will need a BT dongle (ca.$45) for T|T3, and the Treo does not do home wireless.

SanDisk may have a WiFi SD card for OS5 available this year, but I personally doubt it. There are self-powered WiFi sleds for Palms that work quite well..

Costs and availability:
WiFi and BT at home: Free after hardware purchase. Call it $40 to $200.
WiFi Hotspots: Free to expensive. Avail. usually depends on 3rd party (stores, etc).
BT to Cellular: Depends on carrier. Anywhere from free to $7/MB to unlimited access for $20-30/mo.

One other thing on the T|C... It relies mainly on keyboard for entry (or Grafitti on screen): has no Grafitti area. This may be negative or positive depending on how you like to enter stuff.

For me it was a big negative... I prefer to use Grafitti, and find the on screen to be a mixed blessing; OK in some apps, but absolutely a pain in the butt on others. So I want my Grafitti area!

The drivers for Palm OS have not been released yet, even though the card is available.
