I don't understand why the zeopad launcher is such a bad idea!

Excuse my ignorance but will somebody explain to me why the zeopad launcher is a bad idea? is it the quality or the fact that it is a copy. i just don't understand what all the hype is about.

It's actually a great idea. The problem is, it's not the idea of the person who's selling it. There was another skin created by one of the members here (jbarr) and given away as freeware. Then, Steve Smith (known here as GoldenTiger) took jbarr's idea, made one TINY change to it, and decided to sell it for $10. To make matters worse, he posted here as a happy user and a beta tester - NOT as the developer - and told everyone how great it is. And to top it off, he then accused jbarr of stealing his work. Some nerve.

But the fact remains that the idea is a good one. If you like it, I would suggest downloading jbarr's version, and if you feel like paying someone, make a contribution to jbarr on his web page.

Additionally, all that "zeolauncher" is is a "skin". The necessary programs to run it on your Clie and even the desktop program to create your own skins are freeware... Zeolauncher is a unscrupulous attempt to package and sell what was intentionally distributed for free.... There are numerous skins posted in the "skins/silkskins/virtualgraffitti" area available for free download. Many have been made by the maker of the skin that zeolauncher was "modeled" after , others by amatuers such as myself...
AND THEY'RE ALL FREE!!!!
